Lavender Mothers Day Arrangement
Heres a great idea for making a simple arrangement which will last for years, using one of our bunches of dried lavender, just find a suitable container, I like the brushed aluminium buckets with lavender i think it gives a lovely contrast, put in a small piece of dry oasis and then place the lavender stem by stem spacing neatly, when the pot is full, cover the top with some natural reindeer moss and then tie lightly with natural raffia as in the picture, I'm sure any mother would love this handmade gift.
Bath Salt Scrub
How about making a Salt Scrub, an excellent natural exfoliator, which is great for your skin and will give you a fresh clean look.

You will need:
4 handfuls of Sea Salt
1 handful of Epsom Salt
10 drops of Pure Essential Oil of your choice Jasmine, Rose, or lavender give an excellent fragrance
a handful of either dried lavender, rose petals, larkspur or calledula, or mix a few together to give more colour.
Blend all the ingredients together and mix well, this could be presented in a screwtop jar or cello bags, decorated with a ribbon.
An easy handmade product for the children to make, it would make a lovely mothers day gift......
Rose Buds and Petals for Valentines Day.....
How about making a rose bud hanging pomenander, or decorate a wicker heart with rose buds, or try your hand at Handmade soap or bathbombs, all fun and easy. Or just buy some rose petals or buds and scatter a few handfuls to make valentines day that bit more special.....

Winter Country Wreath
The decorations have been taken down and christmas is over for another year, but winter is still with us the fire is still lit, the snow has not yet fallen ( well not in Cotswolds as yet), so to why not make a dried fruit and spice simple wreath to hang on the front door, over the fireplace, or kitchen to give a welcoming fresh country feel. Dried orange slices, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and nuts have been threaded in groups to a wire ring this should be 6 - 8" dia, you could use a coathanger for this. To finish the wreath off tie red, burgundy, green or gingham ribbon to hang from, small pine cones and berries could also be attached. The wreath will keep for years and can be sprayed with a fragrant spray to add an aroma to the room.
